Why Inspire Was Created
Inspire Barber College was founded with a clear purpose: to create opportunity where it has historically been limited.
For many young people, especially those without access to extracurricular programs or career pathways, there are few structured opportunities to explore their potential. Inspire was built to change that.
This college serves as both a training ground and a safe haven. It creates a place where individuals can develop skills, gain confidence, and begin building a future rooted in independence and purpose.
Inspire also provides pathways for individuals re-entering society after incarceration, offering real, tangible opportunities to learn a trade, build discipline, and move forward with a positive outlook.
Meet Brian “Frog” Britt
Brian “Frog” Britt is a Master Barber, Instructor, mentor, and community leader with over 15 years of experience in barbering and cosmetology. As the founder of Inspire Barber College, Brian established the first Black-owned barber college in the state of Wisconsin and created a space where skill, mentorship, and opportunity intersect.
In addition to leading Inspire, Brian serves as a licensed instructor at Panache Academy of Beauty in Wisconsin Dells, where he prepares students from diverse backgrounds for the Wisconsin State Board Exam. He is also recognized as the official barber for the University of Wisconsin Badger football team which is a reflection of both his skill and reputation in the field.
Through every role he holds, his mission remains the same: to inspire others through education, mentorship, and opportunity.

A Real-World Learning Experience
Located in East Towne Mall in Madison, Wisconsin, Inspire Barber College provides a professional, fully equipped training environment designed to mirror an actual barbershop and salon.
With small class sizes and hands-on instruction, students receive individualized support while gaining real client experience.
Our facility includes:
A full barber clinic floor
Three classrooms with audio/video technology
Shampoo and styling stations
A manicure and pedicure area
Student resource center with internet access
Retail and reception space for client interaction
This immersive environment ensures students are fully prepared for the workforce.
